NATA Partners with CrewID® to Integrate Its Safety 1st Training Program

WASHINGTON, DC , January 30, 2019 – Last week, an agreement was made between the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) and CrewID® to integrate NATA’s Safety1st Training Program into CrewID®’s Global Credentialing System. This integration will provide Safety1st participants online access to real-time eBadges that manage and verifies their Safety1st training credentials, status and company position. Additionally, through this collaboration, Safety1st and CrewID® will provide Safety1st participants who have successfully completed their Safety1st training with a CrewID® badge at no-cost.

NATA’s Safety 1st Training Program is focused on providing standardized training and support for the general aviation industry, including: line services technicians, FBO managers and customer service representatives. Until now, there has not been a solution that allowed executives, government officials or others to verify an employees’ training, access or employment status. Gary Dempsey, President of NATA, states, “The decision to integrate with CrewID® makes plain sense. Our members will benefit greatly with the ability to easily and quickly show their training certificates/qualifications at any location they access and work”. Pilots and other crewmembers can easily challenge ground personnel and view applicable credentials by verifying their CrewID® badge in real-time.

CrewID® Chief Executive Officer, Michael Sundheim says, “This is an exciting time for advocates of security, safety and training. Our team is eager to provide verifiable credentials for NATA’s Safety1st participants, especially to those who do not have an identification system in place. Participants are also provided security awareness training, at no additional cost, as a way to ensure employees have access to industry best practices and do their part to keep our industry safe and secure”.

To see a demonstration, see us at the NBAA’s Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference and Convention in San Antonio, TX, booth #400. Those who will be attending are encouraged to stop by and enter to win the various drawings, throughout the week.
