NATA Statement on the Nomination of Christopher Hart to Chair NTSB

Alexandria, VA, June 28, 2014 – The following is a statement by National Air Transportation Association President and CEO Thomas L. Hendricks on the nomination of Christopher Hart to Chair the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB):

"NATA applauds President Obama’s nomination of Christopher Hart to be the next Chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board. Chris Hart is a tireless advocate for advancing safety across all modes of transportation. His continuing strong support for aviation data collection and sharing will be a key driver in helping all segments of the nation’s aviation system improve even further. His long-time dedication to these principles at both the FAA and NTSB make him the ideal candidate to be the next NTSB Chairman. NATA looks forward to continuing our strong support of the NTSB and its staff of safety professionals.”
