NATA Statement on House passage of H.R. 5771, the “Tax Increase Prevention Act of 2014”

Alexandria, VA, December 3, 2014 – The following is a statement by National Air Transportation Association President and CEO Thomas L. Hendricks on House approval of H.R. 5771, the “Tax Increase Prevention Act of 2014:”

"NATA thanks the House for taking action today to extend bonus depreciation and section 179 expensing for 2014.  We greatly appreciate the efforts that Ways and Means Committee Chairman Camp and Select Revenue Subcommittee Chairman Tiberi have put forth this year to make these investment and job creating provisions permanent.  We still hope that Congress and the Administration will consider adding at least one additional year to this bill as it continues through the legislative process in order to achieve the maximum impact such provisions can bring to investment and job creation in this nation.”
