NATA Statement On Senate Approval of Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015

Washington, DC, October 30, 2015 –Today, the U.S. Senate approved the “Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015,” legislation that adjusts the federal discretionary spending limits for fiscal years 2016 and 2017 and raises the nation’s debt ceiling through March 2017. The House of Representatives acted on the legislation on October 28th

The following is a statement by National Air Transportation Association President and CEO Thomas L. Hendricks: 

"NATA appreciates the Senate's swift action on this important legislation. It provides the certainty needed for the nation's aviation businesses to continue to create jobs and make investment decisions. We urge the House and Senate to quickly use the additional discretionary funding provided by this agreement to finalize the appropriations bills for fiscal year 2016, including for the FAA.”
