                                 Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden Supports a Two Year Extension of Bonus Depreciation

Today, the Joint Committee on Taxation released a description of the legislation scheduled for mark up on Thursday by the full Senate Finance Committee to renew various tax provisions that expired at the end of 2013. Developed by Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden (D-OR), the “chairman’s mark” includes an extension of bonus depreciation for two years through 2015 (pages 41-46). In a letter to the congressional leadership on March 24th, NATA joined by other associations including NAM and the U.S. Chamber, requested this extension in order to assist NATA member companies in making immediate, job creating capital investments in the U.S. economy.
