NATA Names New Board of Directors Members

Washington, DC, June 14, 2017 – Last week at its annual Membership Meeting, the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) announced the election of Greg Schmidt, President and Chief Executive Officer, Pentastar Aviation in Waterford, MI, as Chair of the NATA Board of Directors.

Reelected to serve an additional term were Curt Castagna, Aerolease Group and Guy Hill, Jr., Hill Aircraft and Leasing Corporation. Additionally, NATA elected four new members to its board of directors: Randall D. Berg, Airport Director, King County International Airport; Dennis Fox, Senior Vice President, Flight Operations, Executive Jet Management; Larry Jorash, Senior Vice President Operations, Signature Flight Support; and Larry Wade, President and Partner, Golden Isles Aviation (bios below).

Randall D. Berg is the Airport Director of King County International Airport. He has over 40 years of experience holding airport director positions at both small and large general aviation airports, as well as director of operations positions at both medium and large hub commercial facilities. Mr. Berg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management from Pepperdine University. In addition to his airport management career, he has been an Adjunct Professor in Aviation Management at California State University, Los Angeles for the past 30 years and at Westminster College in Salt Lake City for 13 years.

 

Dennis Fox has been with Executive Jet Management for 17 years and has served as Senior Vice President, Flight Operations for nine years, and as Director of Training for 11 years. His responsibilities include leadership and accountability for crew operations and training, EJM’s Flight Operations Center, Safety, Standards, and Security. Mr. Fox is a member of the NATA Air Charter Committee and a member of the ACSF Board of Governors. Prior to Executive Jet Management, Mr. Fox served our country in the US Army for 15 years where he served as commander, trainer, and pilot for Aeroscout and AH-64A Apache attack helicopters; and is a graduate of the US Army’s Ranger, Airborne, and Air Assault schools.

 

Larry Jorash is the Senior Vice President Operations for Signature Flight Support. Mr. Jorash joined Signature in 1998 as the General Manager of the Bradley Int'l Airport FBO facility, and later progressed through the positions of Area General Manager and Regional Vice President, before most recently performing the role of Vice President of Operations Planning. Prior to his tenure at Signature, Mr. Jorash served as a General Manager at an independent FBO as well as a Turbine Aircraft Service Manager at Priester Aviation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and holds an FAA Commercial Pilot License with instrument and flight instructor certifications.

Larry Wade is the President and Partner of Golden Isles Aviation, a Phillips 66 and World Fuels Air Elite FBO at the McKinnon Airport on St. Simons Island, GA. He has had this privilege since the purchase of the business in 1986. A private pilot, Mr. Wade has served on the Boards of Exxon Avitat as well as the Councils of Phillips 66 Aviation and World Fuels Air Elite. He has served on the Airports and Business Committee of NATA and is a Georgia Tech alumnus. Mr. Wade married to his high school sweetheart Beverly Wade, they have three children.
