Acceptance
FAA officials have been conducting a rolling evaluation
of IC Check and are enthusiastic about the program.
FAA officials believe that IC Check:
- Holds potential for increasing safety
- Is the
first compliance tool to be generally available to electronically
facilitate management of operational control and safety management
system issues
FAA officials are influencing IC Check’s design
and are enthusiastic about the its potential for reduced accidents/incidents
and streamlined inspection regimens. With IC Check subscriber permission,
IC Check can provide POI access to flight data, reducing on-site inspection
workloads/distraction.
NATA expects Advisory Circular acceptance of IC Check this spring
with; inspector guidance to follow shortly thereafter.
IC Check is being designed into at least one new certificate holder's
Op Spec, making the issuance of compliance-driven flight releases
integral to the certificate holder's operations.
