General Aviation Industry Leaders Committed To Safest Flying Season Ever

Washington, D.C.December 16, 2019 – The National Air Transportation Association (NATA), along with industry leaders from the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), General Aviation Manufacturing Association (GAMA), Helicopter Association International (HAI), and National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) are committed to making this the safest general aviation flying season on record.

In a live ‘Holiday Flying Webinar’ held on Tuesday, Dec. 17, AOPA President and CEO Mark Baker and Air Safety Institute Executive Director Richard McSpadden will share tips to help pilots identify potential traps unique to the holidays that impact aviation decision making. McSpadden will explore shortfalls of the human decision-making process to help pilots identify elements that sometimes trick otherwise safe pilots into making bad decisions.

Leaders of each organization are asking GA pilots to tune in and discover practical ways to identify and mitigate red flags that can impact pilot decisions around the holidays. Please join Mark Baker and Richard McSpadden online on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern at http://bit.ly/holidayflying.
