NATA Welcomes TSA PreCheck Program Expansion
Alexandria, VA, July 19, 2013 – The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) welcomes TSA Administrator John Pistole’s announcement today of a new process allowing more U.S. citizens to enroll in TSA PreCheck. The TSA PreCheck program is an expedited screening process for pre-approved airline travelers. See TSA press release.
Later this year, TSA will launch the program at two initial enrollment sites — Washington Dulles International Airport and Indianapolis International Airport — with plans to phase in additional centers over time.
“NATA welcomes the expansion of the PreCheck program and TSA’s continuing efforts towards developing a more risk-based solution to aviation security,” said Thomas L. Hendricks, President and CEO of the National Air Transportation Association.
