Aviation Business Journal
The Aviation Business Journal (ABJ) is the official publication of NATA (National Air Transportation Association), and the only magazine dedicated to the business of fuel and line services, aircraft charter and management, aircraft maintenance, flight training, and advanced air mobility.
Fly Smarter: Avoid Illegal Charter
NATA is pleased to assist with public education on the risks of illegal charter activities and to aid the legitimate charter industry in providing the FAA with illegal charter reports that provide more actionable data.
Misfueling Prevention
General Aviation Misfueling Prevention is a regularly refreshed awareness program for all aircraft refueling stakeholders. Whether you have completed the first-generation program or not, you will want to be sure to update your training today! The new program amends original content and addresses new misfueling risks associated with unleaded avgas and the introduction of an additional grade of fuel at airports. Misfueling is preventable through awareness, collaboration, and communication!
Future of Sustainable Fuel
The Business Aviation Coalition for Sustainable Aviation Fuel, developed by a coalition of international aviation organizations, was created to address a “knowledge gap” on the availability and safety of SAF and advance the proliferation of alternative jet fuels at all the logical touchpoints. NATA is an active member of the SAF Coalition and associated subcommittees, supporting education and advocacy.
CLIMBING. FAST.
CLIMBING. FAST. is an advocacy initiative to showcase business aviation’s many societal benefits, from driving opportunities for today’s workforce, to leading sustainability innovations to achieve a commitment to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. NATA is proud to join other leading aviation trade groups in promoting our industry’s environmental and community advancements and contributions.
Eliminate Aviation Gasoline Lead Emissions (EAGLE) Initiative
The EAGLE initiative is a comprehensive public-private partnership consisting of the aviation and petroleum industries and U.S. government stakeholders, and a wide range of other constituents and interested parties, all working toward the transition to lead-free aviation fuels for piston-engine aircraft by the end of 2030 without compromising the safety or economic health of the general aviation industry. NATA President and CEO Curt Castagna serves as the Co-Chair of the EAGLE Executive Committee.
