The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is accepting nominations for its Unmanned and Autonomous Flight Advisory Committee (UAFAC), a 12-member body established in January 2025 to provide input on unmanned aviation systems and autonomous aviation policy. The committee will advise on safe airspace integration, certification standards, workforce development, and community impact.

Industry stakeholders from unmanned aircraft operators, manufacturers, community advocates, academia, and other aviation organizations are encouraged to apply. Nomination packages should include a support letter, brief biography, and a statement identifying the stakeholder group the nominee wishes to represent. Members serve a two-year term and meet virtually three times a year. Materials are due October 12 and may be submitted to 9-FAA-UAFAC@faa.gov.
