DOT Opens Small Community Air Service Development Program Grants

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has opened the Small Community Air Service Development Program, which is designed to help small communities address air service and airfare challenges through competitive grant support.

On March 20, 2026, DOT issued a Notice of Funding Opportunity making up to $12 million available for eligible projects, including revenue guarantees, marketing programs, start-up costs, and studies aimed at improving local air service.

Applications, including all required materials, must be submitted through Grants.gov by 4:00 p.m. EDT on May 4, 2026.
