The Air Charter Forum took place on June 4 at NATA’s D.C. headquarters, capping off a busy week of member engagement, federal advocacy, and agency dialogue. The forum gathered air charter operators, agency leaders, and industry stakeholders for focused discussion on the operational, regulatory, security, and policy issues shaping the Part 135 community. Attendees heard from FAA Deputy Administrator Chris Rocheleau, the FAA Safe Air Charter Team, TSA leadership, AirTera, and other industry experts.

Deputy Administrator Rocheleau provided an update focused on safety, modernization, workforce development, airspace redesign, and improved use of data and emerging technologies. Additional discussions addressed illegal charter activity, enforcement considerations, dry leasing guidance, FIFA World Cup logistics, SMS implementation, AI-supported safety practices, and FET tax resources.

The forum also featured candid member discussion and one-on-one engagement with agency representatives, helping strengthen communication between aviation businesses and federal decision-makers. NATA appreciates all participants, speakers, and agency partners for contributing to a productive and timely conversation that helps keep air charter business priorities visible and well understood.
