NATA, Tuvoli, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s David B. O’Maley College of Business concluded the inaugural AI Symposium for Business Aviation (AISBA) last week. The first edition attracted more than 200 participants and the support of 15 sponsors, bringing together aviation business leaders, technology innovators, regulators, educators, and students to explore the opportunities, responsibilities, and practical applications of artificial intelligence in business aviation.

Held September 15–16 at Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach campus, the symposium combined industry-focused discussions, demonstrations, and interactive workshops designed to help aviation businesses move from understanding AI’s potential to evaluating its application within their own operations.

The event provided a collaborative forum for examining emerging technologies, exchanging operational perspectives, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen safety, support employees, and enhance customer service while maintaining appropriate human oversight.

“For NATA, the real measure of this symposium is what participants take back to their businesses,” said NATA President and CEO Curt Castagna. “Our members are looking for practical ways to evaluate new technology, strengthen their operations, and make informed investments without compromising the safety and professionalism that define our industry. AISBA created an opportunity to learn from one another, challenge assumptions, and better understand where AI can deliver meaningful value. Just as importantly, we are connecting today’s aviation leaders with the next generation and investing in the talent that will carry our industry forward.”
