DOT Awards Program Supports New Tools to Fight Human Trafficking

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) is accepting submissions for its annual Combating Human Trafficking in Transportation Impact Awards, which recognize innovative tools, initiatives, campaigns, and technologies that help prevent human trafficking across the transportation sector.

The awards are part of DOT’s Transportation Leaders Against Human Trafficking initiative and are open to individuals and organizations, including transportation industry associations, nonprofits, research institutions, and state, local, and Tribal government entities.

This year, DOT will award up to $100,000 for first place, $50,000 for second place, and $25,000 for third place. Submissions will be accepted through 11:59pm EST on June 22, 2026. Learn more about previous winners and view the Federal Register Notice for full details on submission instructions.
