The FAA released InFO 25007 notifying stakeholders that Web-based Operations Safety System (WebOPSS) and Operations Approval Portal System (OAPS) have been integrated into the Safety Assurance System (SAS). In February, NATA submitted comments on the FAA’s SAS External Portal, commending the agency’s efforts to provide external users with a reliable means of submitting documents to Principal Operations Inspectors (POIs) for review and approval. The SAS External Portal has streamlined communication and collaboration with FAA Flight Standards employees, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in processing applications with each submission date stamped and sent to the assigned POI within the portal. After a phased rollout, OPSS and OA are now fully operational in SAS for use by stakeholders and FAA Offices.
