The FAA has released its latest report, Wildlife Strikes to Civil Aircraft in the United States, 1990–2025. The publication was added to the agency’s Wildlife Hazard Mitigation resources on August 4.
Drawing on information from the FAA’s National Wildlife Strike Database, the annual report identifies trends and provides insights that can help NATA members—including airports, FBOs, and aircraft operators—strengthen wildlife management plans, employee training, operational procedures, infrastructure investments, and coordination among airport tenants and users.
NATA joins the FAA in encouraging pilots, airport operators, and other aviation stakeholders to report wildlife strikes through the agency’s Wildlife Strike Database. Continued reporting improves the quality of the data used to identify risks and guide mitigation strategies across the aviation industry.
