The FAA is accepting applications for two aviation workforce development grant programs designed to strengthen the aviation talent pipeline. The Aircraft Pilots Workforce Development Grants Program supports accredited education, outreach, recruitment, and military career transition efforts for future pilots and unmanned aircraft systems operators. The Aviation Maintenance Technical Workers program supports efforts to prepare and recruit the next generation of aviation maintenance and technician professionals. Eligible applicants may apply for competitive grants ranging from $25,000 to $500,000 per fiscal year. Applications must be submitted electronically through Grants.gov by June 22, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET. Please note that Grants.gov has scheduled system maintenance from June 20 through June 22. The maintenance is expected to conclude around midday on June 22. To avoid potential submission delays, we strongly encourage applicants to submit their applications before the maintenance period begins.
