IATA has challenged the FCC over the agency’s July upper C-band clearing order, which does not cover the cost of altimeter replacements for foreign air carriers. In a notice of appeal (docket 26-1226) with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, IATA said the rationale in the order for not providing rebates for foreign-flagged aircraft owners and operators is never explained.
As you may recall, NATA and other trade associations advocated that FCC and FAA include Part 135 operators as part of the rebate program.
