NATA Joins Global Coalition Urging SAF Use for 2026 WEF

NATA is part of a global business aviation coalition encouraging aircraft operators traveling to the 2026 World Economic Forum (WEF), scheduled for January 19–23 in Davos-Klosters, to use sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) where available.

The Business Aviation Coalition for Sustainable Aviation Fuel urged operators to coordinate SAF supplies through fuel providers or fixed-base operators (FBOs), noting that more than 100 FBOs worldwide now offer physical SAF, including Jet Aviation at Zurich Airport.

For flights departing airports without physical SAF, the coalition highlighted the “Book and Claim” system, allowing operators to purchase SAF elsewhere and receive emissions-reduction credits while supporting broader SAF deployment. The coalition also includes CBAA, EBAA, NBAA, GAMA, IBAC, and VAI, and supports the sector’s goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
