NATA (the National Air Transportation Association) joined U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford, Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO), and Modern Skies Coalition partners at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport for the unveiling of the Modern Skies Act.

The legislation would provide more than $30 billion for air traffic control modernization, ATC facilities, and airport infrastructure, building on the $12.5 billion previously approved for the FAA’s modernization effort.

“NATA strongly supports the continued investment in air traffic control technology and infrastructure reflected in the Modern Skies Act. We are pleased to work alongside Congress, the Department of Transportation, the FAA, and our Modern Skies Coalition partners to advance modernization across the entire National Airspace System, including the general aviation airports and ATC facilities that connect businesses and communities nationwide,” said NATA President and CEO Curt Castagna.
