NATA launches a new webinar series on tax considerations for air charter operators with Federal Excise Tax Essentials for Air Charter Operators on May 7 at 1 PM ET. The one-hour session, led by NATA Senior Advisor Jacqueline Rosser, will provide a practical introduction to the Federal Excise Taxes imposed on air charter operations.
Attendees will gain an overview of the basic structure of the FET system affecting charter operators, including applicable taxes and fees, common exemptions, and filing requirements. The webinar is geared toward those responsible for day-to-day tax application and gathering information for quarterly filings.
For many charter operators, the employees handling these responsibilities are not tax professionals. As the first installment in a broader series, the webinar will build a stronger understanding of the complex tax rules that apply to aviation, with future sessions examining topics such as exemptions and audit preparation in greater depth. The webinar is free to NATA members and available to nonmembers for $75, which will be waived upon joining NATA.
