NATA is pleased to share that the FAA Emergency Order affecting operations at high-impact airports has been canceled, with “back to normal” operations resuming at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow — including the restoration of general aviation operations at 12 high-impact airports identified in the associated NOTAMs. Read the DOT/FAA announcement here.
As always, we encourage all operators to continue monitoring and reviewing NOTAMs as part of standard flight planning.
NATA is grateful to the DOT and FAA leadership and staff, our nation’s air traffic controllers, TSA employees, CBP personnel, and the many aviation safety and operations professionals who continued to serve the aviation industry throughout the shutdown. We also thank Congress and Administration officials whose efforts have helped bring this disruptive period to an end and restore stability for the aviation system.
As normal operations resume, we also extend our sincere appreciation to the dedicated professionals across FAA, TSA, CBP, and the broader aviation workforce who are returning to full duty. Their commitment and resilience—despite uncertainty and difficult circumstances—are vital to ensuring a safe, efficient, and connected national airspace system.
We recognize the operational uncertainty this shutdown and its related restrictions have created for your businesses, employees, and customers. NATA will continue working with policymakers and industry partners to support a smooth transition back to normal operations and to advocate for long-term solutions that protect the resilience and reliability of our aviation infrastructure.
Your input and engagement have been invaluable to our efforts. We look forward to hearing from FAA Deputy Administrator Chris Rocheleau on Tuesday during NATA’s Aviation Business Conference in Dallas, where these important conversations will continue. We hope to see you there.
