New Features Coming to the Safety 1st Training Center – Here’s What to Expect
We are excited to announce several improvements coming soon to the NATA Safety 1st Training Center! These updates are designed to make managing training easier, enhance your team’s learning experience, and provide even greater value to your operation.
To bring you these new features, the Safety 1st Training Center will be
***temporarily unavailable from 1:00 AM ET on Monday, July 28 through 9:00 AM ET on Wednesday, July 30.***
We appreciate your patience as we complete these important upgrades.
Here’s what’s coming:
New Additions
1. New OJT/Practical Dashboard
Managing OJT and Practical Exam signoffs will soon be simpler than ever. This new dashboard equips admins to easily identify and sign off on these activities across multiple courses for each user, all from a single convenient location.
2. New User Progress Report
Admins will gain greater visibility into their users’ training progress with this brand-new report. The User Progress Report provides a comprehensive view of their users’ learning status for each activity within their courses. These activities include lessons, exams, OJTs, and practical exams.
3. Enhanced Incomplete Courses Report
The Incomplete Courses Report now provides a more complete picture by displaying all assigned courses a user has not completed — even if they haven’t accessed or started the course yet. This improvement gives admins greater visibility into outstanding training across their teams.
4. Aircraft Anti/De-Icing – Annual Certification
To better align with FAA guidance, Aircraft Anti/De-Icing Certifications will now require annual recertification, ensuring your team’s qualifications stay up to date.
5. Removal of Activity Locks
We are making courses more flexible by removing the requirement to complete activities in sequence. All activities must still be completed to earn course completion credit.
6. Lesson “Review Mode”
A new “Review Mode” makes it easier for users to revisit lessons they’ve already completed. Once a lesson is finished, a message will display:
“You are in Review Mode. This lesson is available for review only. Retaking this lesson in Review Mode will not count toward course completion. If you need to complete this lesson to recertify early, contact your administrator.”
With this improvement, the recertification message on your Dashboard will be removed, keeping your learning environment clear and focused.
Navigation Changes
7. “My Learning”
The “Dashboard” tab will be renamed “My Learning” for simplicity. You will still find all your courses here — only the name has changed.
8. NATA Events
The previous NATA Site tab will now link directly to our NATA Events page. This makes it easier to find and register for conferences, seminars, and training opportunities to enhance learning, connections, and career growth.
9. Streamlined Waffle Menu
We are simplifying the “waffle” menu for admins. It will now include only:
- Certifications
- Certificates
- Users
These updates are part of our ongoing commitment to help you meet your training goals and get the most from the NATA Safety 1st Training Center. Remember that the NATA Safety 1st Training Center will be temporarily unavailable from 1:00 AM ET on Monday, July 28 through 9:00 AM ET on Wednesday, July 30 while these enhancements are being made.
