The Voice of Aviation Businesses
NATA represents the interests of the general aviation business community before Congress and at federal, state, and local government offices.
NATA Day on the Hill
The opportunity to share your business’ story with elected officials and address top-of-mind issues that need attention or action.
Advocacy Priorities
NATA’s advocacy is member-driven, utilizing a committee structure encompassing the members’ lines of business to ensure a progressive and proactive advocacy agenda. NATA supports a member-first approach, working to ensure both immediate success and long-term growth for aviation businesses. The association aims to foster industry innovation, modernize infrastructure, enhance sustainability, prioritize safety, and strengthen the aviation workforce, while also securing necessary resources for a safe and effective National Airspace System (NAS).
Advocating for Comprehensive, Transformative FAA Reauthorization
Over the last two years our legislative focus has been successful passage of a long-term FAA reauthorization bill that increases Agency efficiency, safeguards aviation safety, and fosters industry innovation to benefit the entire aviation ecosystem. NATA was intentional in coordinating and collaborating with Congressional leaders and diverse industry stakeholders to craft transformative legislation for regulators and aviation businesses alike. The NATA team worked tirelessly toward a bill that included many of NATA’s priorities on overall FAA modernization, FAA efficiency for 135 certification and oversight, airport investment, AAM innovation, and more, while staying clear of anti-FBO/airport provisions related to FBO pricing practices and transient aircraft parking.
Safe Progress Toward Unleaded Aviation Fuel
As we continue to move toward an unleaded future, many questions remain as to how these new fuels will be safely delivered across the supply chain – a reality that must be heard by communities seeking to ban 100LL ahead of the industry’s 2030 goal. Safety is key here for all stakeholders as is the objective – an unleaded future. As a leader in the industry’s Eliminate Aviation Gasoline Lead Emissions (EAGLE) initiative, NATA is working with partners and across multiple fronts to deliver on its mission of empowering industry safety and success by educating fuel service providers on best practices for deploying unleaded avgas, while advocating for general aviation protections during the transition. Safety management is another area of opportunity.
