Daniel J. Edwards Named FAA Associate Administrator for Airports

NATA congratulates Daniel J. Edwards on his appointment as Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Associate Administrator for Airports. In addition to this role, Edwards continues to serve as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Aviation and International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Mr. Edwards brings a distinguished record of leadership across the military, government, and private sectors. His career includes 23 years of service in the U.S. Air Force, executive roles in aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) and aviation infrastructure, and work advancing EMAS runway safety technology now in use at airports worldwide.

NATA looks forward to continuing collaboration with Mr. Edwards and FAA leadership to advance safe, modern, and accessible airport infrastructure that supports the growth and success of general and business aviation.
