Safety Alert: Trelleborg Fuel Hose Stop-Use Directive

Back NATA News / October 28, 2025

Airlines for America (A4A) recently issued Bulletin 2025.2 highlighting a new Trelleborg Safety Directive calling for the immediate stop-use of AEROKLER C & CT DN100 (4″) aviation fuel hoses following multiple rupture incidents during fueling operations.

The ruptures pose a serious fire hazard when high-pressure jet fuel spray contacts hot aircraft surfaces or ignition sources. A4A advises all facilities operating under ATA 103 to inspect hoses and remove affected items from service. A4A notes that failures were not detectable through visual or pressure inspections, reinforcing the need for vigilance.
