The FAA has updated AC 120-84, Aging Aircraft Inspections and Records Reviews, which provides guidance on inspections and records reviews required under the Aging Airplane Safety Rule. The guidance is most relevant to operators of affected aging aircraft, including certain scheduled Part 135 operators of multiengine airplanes certificated with nine or fewer passenger seats, as well as other operators subject to the rule.
NATA members operating affected aircraft should review the guidance with their maintenance and regulatory teams to confirm inspection requirements, records review timing, documentation practices, and readiness for FAA review.
