NATA Update: Federal Government Shutdown

Back NATA News / October 7, 2013

Member Update

As we mentioned last night, NATA continues to be very active in Washington by attempting to reduce the impact of the federal government shutdown on your businesses. We are pleased that the FAA is recalling 800 furloughed Aviation Inspectors and we are hopeful that these numbers will increase in the coming days. However, much work remains to be done.

NATA, along with NBAA, AOPA, EAA and HAI will be contacting DOT Secretary Anthony Foxx urging him to reopen the FAA Registry Office in Oklahoma City.  We know that lack of registration activity is harming many of our members’ businesses.

The NATA team continues to work very hard to help reduce the shutdown’s severe impacts.
