Sustainability in Action: NATA Highlights Member Innovation and Industry Progress

Back NATA News / April 21, 2026

In honor of Earth Day, NATA is proud to highlight just some of the ways we support sustainability across business aviation and recognize the innovation and dedication of our member community. NATA’s Sustainability Standard for Aviation Businesses offers a voluntary, free, and flexible self-certification program to help FBOs and other aviation businesses measure environmental outputs, reduce waste, expand use of cleaner energy sources, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and strengthen sustainability across operations. Developed by NATA’s Environment Committee, the Standard gives NATA members practical, cost-effective steps they can take today to lower their carbon footprint while demonstrating leadership to their customers, communities, and industry partners.

NATA is also proud to support the AIN Sustainability Award as part of the AIN FBO Awards, and to advance industry progress through the Business Aviation Coalition for Sustainable Aviation Fuel and the Eliminate Aviation Gasoline Lead Emissions (EAGLE) initiative. NATA congratulates our many members that participate in these efforts, have achieved various tiers of the Sustainability Standard, and demonstrate ongoing environmental stewardship across business aviation.
