NATA Aviation Apprenticeship Tracking Tool
The NATA Maintenance Committee has created a member-only resource assisting you with developing “test ready and well-documented” technician applicants. The NATA Aviation Apprenticeship Tracking tool was developed to make it easy for you to track your technician-applicants’ progress on the path to obtaining a full FAA Mechanics Certificate with privileges of Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) in just over 30 months or privileges of Airframe or Powerplant in just over 18 months. The tool, available as an Excel download, is based on FAA’s Airmen’s Certification Standards (ACS) FAA-S-ACS-1 Aviation Mechanic General, Airframe, and Powerplant document (effective August 01, 2023) which communicates the aeronautical knowledge, risk management, and skill proficiency standards required for the Mechanic Certificate.
The tool follows FAA guidance to provide a more comprehensive pathway to employee mechanic certification. Prepare your applicant to return to your MRO as an FAA certificated mechanic with real-world credible and useful training, experience, and profitable ability.
Guidance for Initial Applications for Repair Station Certificates
NATA, in cooperation with its Maintenance Committee, is equipping new part 145 certificate applicants for success with “Guidance for Initial Applications for Repair Station Certificates.” This new resource was developed under the premise that the likelihood of an application’s prompt handling and ultimate success is improved by an applicant’s thorough understanding of the FAA’s internal and external systems and processes.
NATA Sustainability Standard for Aviation Businesses
The NATA Sustainability Standard for Aviation Businesses (2024) is a sustainability initiative, created to provide FBOs and other aviation businesses a self-certification process for pursuing flexible, cost-effective options to lower their carbon footprint.
Developed by a working group under NATA’s Environment Committee, the NATA Sustainability Standard for Aviation Businesses is a free industry standard designed to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (including CO2), increase use of more environmentally friendly energy sources, reduce waste, and encourage sustainability operation-wide.
NATA's Guide for International Transportation of Minors
NATA’s newly published resource guides members operating under parts 135, 91, and 91(k) in developing updated policy for transporting minors internationally under the latest requirements. The document covers best practices to establish clear guidance for customers and aircraft owners who fly internationally with minors, the required documentation and policies for passengers, and more.
