Act Now to Protect Aviation’s Stability
Your elected officials need to hear from you TODAY to avert detrimental impacts to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) authority, the traveling public, and the entire aviation industry.
Please contact your Representative and Senators and ask them to vote YES on H.R. 5711, a bipartisan, 3-month extension of the FAA’s current authorization.
It is critical that Congress acts before FAA authorization expires tomorrow at midnight. Approving a stand-alone extension will ensure the continued safety and security of the National Air Space, allow Congress ample time to finish comprehensive FAA legislation, and protect FAA authority from unrelated, ongoing discussions on government funding.
You will find contact information for your Representative here and your two Senators here. They need to hear the message below from as many constituents as possible.
As always, NATA appreciates your engagement and support.
Dear Representative/Senator,
As your constituent, I request that you vote YES on H.R. 5711 to extend critical FAA authority for 3 months. I work in the aviation industry, which supplies more than 10 million U.S. jobs, provides the public safe and secure transportation, and supports countless essential community services. A lapse in FAA authority would have detrimental long-term impacts to our industry’s stability, so your support is urgent. Please vote yes on the bipartisan Airport and Airway Extension Act of 2023 to help the FAA and U.S. industry maintain the gold standard in global aviation.
Thank you for your support.
