NATA’s Airport Business Committee Holds Spring Meeting in Washington, DC
On June 17th, NATA’s Airport Business Committee convened in Washington, DC ahead of the association’s Aviation Business Conference and Annual Meeting. Committee Chairman Josh Hochberg (Sonoma Jet Center) held a discussion on the “Know Before You Go” initiative on recommended best practices for the communication of prices and fees. NATA continues to encourage our members to participate in the industry-wide “Know Before You Go” initiative by choosing one of the many options for making prices and fees available online.
Also, at the meeting, NATA staff members provided an update on proposed guidance changes to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 409 – Standard on Aircraft Hangars and discussed an updated draft guidebook on Minimum Standards that will soon be released by NATA in the coming weeks. NATA staff also informed committee members on the recently released recommendations for aircraft operators, fixed base operators, fuel suppliers, and other stakeholders to mitigate the possibility of DEF contamination in jet fuel. The committee will reconvene in November at NATA’s annual Aviation Leadership Conference.
