Thank You, Willa Hart, for Interning with NATA This Summer!
NATA thanks our summer intern, Willa Hart, as she heads back to school for the fall. Willa assisted with the Membership and Marketing operations. She was instrumental in helping us with database management projects, membership duties, conference preparation, student scholarships, and communications.
You may have met Willa if you attended the Aviation Business Conference and Annual Meeting back in June, where she staffed the registration desk, attended the receptions, and sat in on multiple sessions to learn more about the industry.
We wish her the best with her studies and hope that we will see her again soon!
If you are interested in becoming an intern, please contact NATA at info@nata.aero and (202) 774-1535.

Last Chance to Take Avoid Illegal Charter Survey | Tell Us How You Have Been Affected by Illegal Charter
Earlier this month, NATA released a survey in conjunction with its Fly Smarter: Avoid Illegal Charter campaign (www.avoidillegalcharter.com) to collect information about illegal charter activity in the business aviation community. The Avoid illegal Charter website provides tools and educational resources to assist the industry and public in avoiding illegal charter. NATA hopes to gather data and feedback through the survey on the impacts of illegal air charter from its members that the Association can then use in future advocacy efforts. If you have been affected by illegal charter, please take 5-10 minutes to fill out the survey here.
Your responses will remain anonymous and neither you nor your company will be identified. NATA asks that members make their best effort to only have one survey response per company. By working together as an industry, we will put an end to illegal charter and the detrimental impacts it has on our industry.

NATA Programs Assist with Pilot Retention
Did you know that NATA offers three Programs tailored for air charter businesses to help assist with pilot acquisition and retention?
- Loss of License Insurance Program further protects your pilots — a crucial advantage in the current challenging environment for pilot staffing and retention. All participants are treated as one entity through the NATA plan, allowing for an easy underwriting experience and premium reductions created by the larger buying pool.
- The NATA FAA Medical Certification Services benefit program is available to all Part 135 air carriers and their pilots, as well as Part 91 corporate flight departments and their pilots, for a budget-friendly flat, per-pilot monthly fee. NATA members are eligible for a significant additional discount.
- NATA-Med powered by AirDocs is an exclusive program that improves operational safety and inflight assistance, 24/7. NATA-Med reduces liability by giving pilots inflight access to medical personnel. In addition, the service helps avoid costly and unnecessary flight diversions and coordinates ground assets post flight. The program assists before, during, and after flights.
