NATA Air Charter Summit: Solid Program, Record Support for Veterans Airlift Command
More than 100 air charter industry professionals gathered this week for the NATA Air Charter Summit. South Dakota Governor Declares June 2013 General Aviation Appreciation Month
On May 20, 2013, South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard signed a proclamation declaring June 2013 as General Aviation Appreciation Month across the state. Aviation in The Mount Rushmore State supports over 7,000 jobs and provides $250 million in wages. Aviation contributes to many industries in South Dakota, including medical care emergencies, natural disasters and agriculture, the largest industry in the state. “The communities within South Dakota depend heavily on general aviation and community airports for the continued flow of commerce, tourism, and visitors to our state,” the Governor stated in the proclamation.
Florida Aviation Association Changes Name
Members of the Florida Aviation Trades Association have decided to rebrand the association with a new name, now to be called the Florida Aviation Business Association (FABA). The decision to rebrand was announced at the Annual Conference, held June 10-12 in Naples, FL. “It was agreed that in order for the Association to grow membership, we needed to create a name that was clear and concise,” the press release states.
